The Starting Five

The Starting Five makes its return to PowerMizzou.com. Each Tuesday throughout the season, we will rank the five Tigers who had the best performances over the past week. A player's ranking one week has no bearing on his placement on the list the next week. This is our list of the five Tigers who had, in our opinion, the best week in the Tigers' win over North Alabama and loss to Colorado:

The Starting Five
1 Laurence Bowers , G Bowers followed up a double-double against North Alabama with 15 points, seven boards and eight blocks against Colorado. 1
2 Mike Dixon Jr., G Dixon was solid with ten points and nine assists against N. Alabama. He had a team-high 17 and just one turnover in Boulder and has re-established himself following the suspension. 3
3 Marcus Denmon, G It wasn't a big week for Denmon, but he did average 13 points and hit double figures in both games. 1
4 Ricardo Ratliffe, F Ratliffe didn't score against North Alabama, but he did have six blocks. At Colorado, Ratliffe scored 11 and grabbed eight boards. 4
5 Kim English, F English struggled, along with many others, in Boulder, but is on the list due to the strength of his 20 first half points against North Alabama. NR
