Notes/Audio: Taylor passes Harris


-- With the win, the Badgers clinched a first-round bye in the 2012 Big Ten Tournament. Wisconsin can finish no worse than fourth in the Big Ten standings.

-- This marks the 12th-consecutive season UW will enjoy a bye in the first round of the conference tournament.

-- Including this season, the Badgers have never finished lower than fourth in the Big Ten standings in 11 seasons under Bo Ryan.

-- Wisconsin has won at least 11 Big Ten games in nine of Ryan's 11 seasons in Madison.

-- Ryan improved to 264-99 in his career at Wisconsin, leaving him one win shy of tying Hall of Famer Harold "Bud" Foster for the UW school record. Foster, who coached from 1935-59, owned a record of 265-267.

-- UW is 165-15 (.917) at home under Ryan, including a mark of 83-9 (.902) against Big Ten Conference opponents.

-- The Badgers are 21-0 this season when leading or tied with 5 minutes remaining in a game.

-- Wisconsin improved to 15-4 against Minnesota under Ryan, including an 8-1 mark at the Kohl Center.

-- The Badgers have held 12 of 30 opponents this season to fewer than 50 points, going 12-0 in those games. The Badgers are 72-2 under Ryan when holding an opponent under 50 points.

-- Wisconsin held Minnesota without a field goal for a span of 15:08, including the final 8:01 of the first half and the first 7:07 of the second period.

-- The Gophers' field-goal percentage of 23.9 was the lowest allowed by the Badgers in Big Ten play.


-- Jordan Taylor scored a game-high 22 points, giving him 1,438 points for his career and moving him past Devin Harris (1,425) for 9th on the Badgers' all-time scoring list.

-- Taylor connected on 11-of-12 free throws (91.7%) and also was 3-for-6 from 3-point range.

-- The performance was Taylor's third 20-point game of the season, and second this year against Minnesota. Taylor has averaged 23.7 points in his last 3 games vs. the Gophers.

-- Ben Brust scored four points, pulled in three rebounds and dished out three assists off the bench.

-- Ryan Evans scored 12 points on 6-for-6 shooting from the free throw line and added eight rebounds.
