Underclassmen Challenge: Top 2016-17 prospects

MORE: Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge

DeSOTO, Texas -- The Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge presented by Under Armour was the final event in the inaugural Rivals Camp Series. Rivals.com analyst Adam Friedman breaks down the top 2016 and 2017 prospects from the event.

RIVALS UNDERCLASSMEN CHALLENGE TOP 2016-17 PROSPECTS
1. LB Dylan Moses, Baton Rouge (La.) University Laboratory School (2017)
This was a close battle, but Moses earned the top spot on this list because he took a ton of reps. The 6-foot-2, 223-pound phenom lived up to the hype on Sunday. Moses was able to keep up with almost everyone he went up against in one-on-ones and showed very good technique in drills. On one of his last reps of the day, Moses came up with a nice interception.

2. ATH Demetris Robertson, Savannah (Ga.) Country Day (2016)
Robertson was one of the biggest surprises of the camp and could be seen making plays downfield throughout the day. He showed very good speed and was able to create a lot of separation in his routes. Robertson doesn't have much BCS interest right now, but that should change soon.

3. RB Antonio Williams, New London (N.C.) North Stanly (2016)
Williams made a great impression at the camp on Sunday. He had the speed and power to be able to play a serious part in the passing game. His high school doesn't throw the ball much so it will be hard for him to develop this aspect of his game, but he showed good lateral agility and explosiveness to be a threat in the open field.

4. QB Tristan Wallace, DeSoto (Texas) (2016)
The best thing about Wallace was the great touch he put on his throws during one-on-ones at the camp on Sunday. He still needs to develop his vision and awareness, but that will come with experience. Wallace was also very accurate and hit his wide receivers in stride.

5. RB Devin White, Springhill (La.) North Webster (2016)
Even though White is a big back, he moves like a smaller one in the open field. White has the potential to be a top-flight back and has very good speed for his size. If White keeps growing, it could be hard for him to stay at running back. LSU has offered, and more offers will surely come.

6. DL Edwin Alexander, Hammond (La.) St. Thomas Aquinas (2016)
Alexander has impressive size for his age, and there is room in his frame to add muscle. He was explosive off the line, and he had very violent hands and an extremely strong base. Alabama, LSU and Mississippi State have shown interest, and offers shouldn't be far down the road.

7. RB Trevor Speights, McAllen (Texas) McAllen Memorial (2016)
With speed to burn, Speights left linebackers in the dust during one-on-ones. He had the most success when running wheel routes. Speights is the type of back who would fit in well with a spread offense. Arizona is Speights' only early offer, and plenty more have shown interest.

8. DL Austin Capps, Star City (Ark.) Star City Senior (2016)
Capps is a defensive lineman with a high motor who plays with a lot of energy. He was always moving and using his violent hands to continuously try to break free from the offensive linemen. Capps' only offer is from Arkansas but he is starting to hear from others.

9. QB Auggie Dibiase, Ponte Vedra (Fla.) Providence School (2016)
Few quarterbacks get scholarship offers while they are freshmen, but Dibiase showed the potential Indiana saw when the Hoosiers offered him. At 6-foot-2, Dibiase stood tall in the pocket and hit most of his receivers on the money. There is work to be done on his mechanics and internal clock.

10. LB Loren Mondy, Mansfield (Texas) (2017)
Mondy made national headlines when he committed to Arizona State and, if he develops like the Sun Devils think he will, he could become a big-time catch. He is a little short right now, but Mondy will get taller before he gets to college. Mondy has good technique and is pretty fast, but he needs experience before he has more success in one-on-ones.
