Targets within the new Rivals250


Here's a look at Rivals250 targets Auburn is after for the Class of 2015 following Rivals.com's release of their new rankings on Monday and Tuesday.

The green arrow indicates high early interest in Auburn.

We'll start with the five-stars.

Albany (Ga.) defensive tackle Trenton Thompson is the nation's top player and is looking hard at Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and others. Berea (Ky.) running back Damien Harris is the No. 4 overall player and landed an Auburn offer last week. Harris was a former Michigan commitment. Jacksonville (Fla.) defensive back Kevin Tolliver II is No. 6 overall and committed to LSU, but visited Auburn last summer and has interest.

Shades Valley (Ala.) defensive tackle Daron Payne is No. 7 overall and the top player in the state of Alabama. Payne favors Alabama, but Auburn is firmly in the hunt. North Gwinnett (Ga.) offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt is No. 14 overall and committed to Clemson, but has visited Auburn numerous times. Hyatt's father played at Clemson. Tarpon Springs (Fla.) receiver George Campbell is No. 16 overall and is interested in visiting Auburn.

Lakeside (Ga.) safety Rashad Roundtree is No. 17 overall and landed an Auburn offer on Tuesday. Roundtree holds nearly 30 college offers. American Heritage (Fla.) defensive back Tarvarus McFadden is No. 18 overall and also holds an Auburn offer.

Moving on to the four-stars.

Apopka (Fla.) offensive lineman Martez Ivey is No. 21 overall, holds an Auburn offer and plans to visit the Plains this weekend. Callaway (Ga.) athlete Terry Godwin is No. 26 overall and recently committed to Georgia, despite holding an Auburn offer and maintaining heavy interest in the Tigers. Auburn will continue to recruit Godwin. Carver-Columbus (Ga.) defensive end Mekhi Brown is No. 29 overall and committed to Alabama, but Auburn will continue to pursue. Southside (Ala.) offensive tackle Tyler Carr is No. 30 overall and has close family that are Auburn fans, and a relative that's an Alabama fan. Auburn is the early leader.

Cedar Hill (Tex.) receiver DaMarkus Lodge is No. 31 overall and holds an Auburn offer. Auburn visited Lodge this winter. MSU (Tenn.) offensive tackle Drew Richmond has an Auburn offer and maintains serious interest. Gladewater (Tex.) defensive tackle Daylon Mack is No. 37 overall and landed an Auburn offer last week, and plans to visit this weekend. Mack contacted Auburn recently and appears to have real interest in the Tigers, despite his commitment to Texas A&M.

Timber Creek (Fla.) running back Jacques Patrick is No. 42 overall and visited Auburn last summer. Lincolnton (N.C.) defensive end Darian Roseboro is No. 45 overall and landed an Auburn offer last summer during a visit to the Plains. Stephenville (Tex.) quarterback Jarrett Stidham is No. 48 overall, holds an Auburn offer and is highly thought of among the Auburn coaches. American Heritage (Fla.) quarterback Torrance Gibson is No. 49 overall and is one Auburn's top quarterback targets. Madison Academy (Ala.) running back Kerryon Johnson is No. 50 overall and maintains a top three of Auburn, Alabama and Florida State.

Allen (Tex.) quarterback Kyler Murray is No. 51 overall and another top Auburn quarterback target. The Tigers visited his school this winter. McEachern (Ga.) offensive lineman Chuma Edoga is No. 54 overall and holds an Auburn offer. Lincoln (Fla.) receiver John Burt is No. 55 overall and holds an Auburn offer. Trinity Christian (Fla.) linebacker Jeffery Holland is No. 57 overall and is very high on Auburn, along with Mays (Ga.) linebacker Natrez Patrick, who is ranked No. 59 overall.

Sandy Creek (Ga.) running back Eric Swinney is No. 66 overall and is one of Auburn's top running back targets. Whitehaven (Tenn.) linebacker Joshua McMillon visited Auburn last summer and holds an Auburn offer, along with Macon County (Ga.) linebacker Roquan Smith , who is No. 77 overall. McEachern (Ga.) running back Taj Griffin is No. 78 overall and may visit Auburn this weekend.

Petal (Miss.) offensive lineman Javon Patterson is No. 81 overall, visited Auburn twice last fall and may visit again this spring. Patterson is high on Auburn. Tucker (Ga.) defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter is No. 84 overall and while committed to Alabama, is still looking hard at Auburn. Richmond (Va.) linebacker Ricky Deberry is No. 100 overall and talks with Auburn frequently.

Targets outside of the Rivals100: Hoover (Ala.) linebacker Darrell Williams (No. 102), Stephenson (Ga.) defensive end Chauncey Rivers (No. 107), Jackson (Miss.) athlete Malik Dear (No. 113), University School (Fla.) running back Jordan Scarlett (No. 126), Cincinnati (Ohio) offensive tackle George Brown (No. 127), Hoover (Ala.) running back Bradrick Shaw (No. 128), Thomas County Central (Ga.) defensive end Austin Bryant (No. 134), Milton (Ga.) offensive lineman Nick Wilson (No. 141), First Academy (Fla.) tight end Garrett Williams (No. 143), Trinity Christian (Fla.) safety Ben Edwards (No. 162), Avon (Conn.) tight end Chris Clark (No. 176), Milton (Ga.) linebacker Quarte Sapp (No. 177), Columbia (Ga.) receiver Shadell Bell (No. 186), Hoover (Ala.) defensive end Christian Bell (No. 197), Friendship Academy (Wash.
