No. 1 back from Oklahoma

Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt athlete Derrick Williams has been traveling quite a bit these days. After an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend, Williams returned home late Sunday night and will now fly out to Texas for an official visit Monday morning.

"Oklahoma was good, I was hosted by Mark Clayton and did all the things you do on an official visit," said Williams, a 6-foot-0, 189-pounder. "Oklahoma is losing a lot of receivers and they like to throw the ball around. Adrian Peterson wasn't there because he was at the Heisman deal in New York, but I met Rhett Bomar. The three of us could be the next in line at Oklahoma to keep them on top."

Williams was also impressed with the facilities.

"They were nice," he said. "All the facilities at the schools I've visited have been nice, it shows a commitment to the program. Coach Stoops was cool as well. He's a confident guy who knows he has a program that just re-loads every year."

Now Williams is off to Texas, the last official visit before he announces his decision live on ESPNews on Dec. 22 at 3:30PM EST.

"Coach (Mack) Brown called last night and said to get ready," he said. "He said they were pulling out all the stops."

Williams has already visited Florida, Penn State and Tennessee prior to Oklahoma.

"Urban Meyer is supposed to come in on Wednesday night, but I don't know if I'll be back in time so my parents will meet with him," said Williams, ranked as the nation's top player. "Joe Paterno was in on Thursday and he was prepared. He showed me a lot of things that I would be involved with. Coach Petrino from Louisville also wants to come in and coach Spurrier hasn't given up either."

After Meyer's visit, the Williams family will shut things down when it comes to coaches and media until he makes his announcement on the 22nd. Any leader emerging?

"Nah, it's getting more confusing to be honest," he said. "Each place is great, they have a ton to offer and they all tell me how much they want me. I need to figure out what's right for me, and that will come after this week."
