Goodson tops final Hot 11

Note: The Hot 11 is a daily ranking of the top performers at the U.S. Army All-American game during that specific day's practice session. The following stems from observations and analysis from Wednesday's practice.

Friday's Hot 11 features Michael Goodson at the top. Goodson enjoyed a good day of work on Friday
1. Michael Goodson, RB, Klein, Texas.
Goodson has looked good all five days in San Antonio and during Friday's half-padded practice he pulled in a nice one handed catch that had many people saying "wow." His combination of speed and good hands has made him the best back on the West team all week
2. Akeem Hebron, LB, Gaithersburg, Md.
Hebron hs pushed Brandon Spikes all week for top honors on defense for the East and on Friday he jumped an out pattern for an interception that would have resulted in a touchdown. He's small, but he hits and covers very well.
3. Perrish Cox, CB, Waco, Texas
For the second day in a row Cox came over and blocked an extra point that had kicker Kyle Peterson absolutely screaming at the offensive line for the lack of protection they gave him off the edge. Cox has shown very well in San Antonio and has played very physical, despite his lack of upper body strength.
4. Myron Rolle, S, Princeton, N.J.
Rolle had his best day of coverage on Friday, blanketing Barry Gallup and Dorin Dickerson in the slot. He also read a screen well and blew the play up. Rolle has been playing a hybrid linebacker/safety position and has adjusted well.
5. Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma City
McCoy has been the MVP of the West camp all week and expect him to have a solid game on Saturday. His flawless footwork and the use of his hands make him unstoppable. e has been a nightmare for every offensive lineman he's faced.
6. C.J. Spiller, RB, Lake Butler, Fla.
Spiller played running back and cornerback on Friday, flashing great speed and cutting ability on offense and picking off a pass on defense. He's one of the best athletes on the East and a guy who has come on late in the week.
7. Vidal Hazelton, WR, Chatham, Va.
Hazelton let a pass go through his hands Friday for a pick, a rarity. But he responded with two nice downfield catches beating single coverage. On one of them he went airborne, snagged the ball and dragged his foot inside the sideline. He's been consistent all week.
8. Eddie Jones, DE, Kilgore, Texas
Geathers has found his niche at defensive end, using his long arms and surprising quickness to give linemen fits. He batted down a wide receiver screen on one play and would have had two sacks if allowed to hit the quarterback. His size makes his a disruption in the passing game.
9. Brandon Spikes, LB, Shelby, N.C.
Spikes continued to play outstanding football during the Friday practice session. His great week of work should set him up for a stellar showing on Saturday.
10. Deon Beasley, WR, Orange, Texas.
West offensive coordinator Todd Dodge has really featured Beasley in his spread offense. Beasley has also been the primary return specialist for the West and he's almost like this year's version of DeSean Jackson. Expect Beasley to make a couple of big time plays on Saturday.
11. Chris Bell, WR, Norfolk, Va.
Bell continued to have a good week of work, using his speed, size and smoothness to make solid catches on Friday. Penn State fans should get excited about adding another offensive weapon to their team.
