EA SPORTS Elite 11 Tracker Top 100

After 11 NIKE Camps and five Elite 11 Quarterback Regional Camps, the selection process for the 2006 Elite 11 Quarterback Campetition has officially begun.

Next week, the seventh invitee to the 2006 Elite 11 will be announced. Today marks the second edition of the EA SPORTS Elite 11 Quarterback Tracker Top 100, a list of the nation's top 100 quarterbacks plus weekly quarterback recruiting news.

EA SPORTS is proud to present the second edition of the EA SPORTS Elite 11 Quarterback Tracker Top 100, a list of the nation's top 100 quarterbacks after camp and film evaluation. The list is a comprehensive and constantly changing list from the producers of the NIKE Camps and Elite 11 QB Camps.

Two big commitments were made this week by quarterbacks, both with ties to the Beehive State.

First, BYU landed a commitment over the weekend from one of the top quarterbacks in the Northwest, 6-5, 230 pound Jason Munns out of Kennewick (Wash.) Southridge, who chose the Cougars over offers from Washington State, Arizona State and Utah.

"It came down to BYU and Washington State," Munns told Student Sports' Greg Biggins earlier this week.

"I didn't plan to commit this early but knew if I waited, BYU might take another quarterback and the more I thought about it, I realized BYU was the best place for me. I didn't want to risk losing that opportunity and settling for second best so I went ahead and called up the coaches and committed.

"I'm very excited about my decision. BYU has a great tradition, especially at the quarterback position and I'm excited to be a part of that. I have a good relationship with Coach Doman, who will be my position coach and I like Coach Mendenhall as well.

"It's just a good situation for me and it's a relief to have this out of the way so I can just focus on football and school next year."

Munns had a very good junior season throwing for 2,178 yards and 32 touchdowns last season. He's a big, strong quarterback who shows up well on film. He has plus arm strength, can make all the throws and has a very nice touch on his deep ball.

Monday, after the news began to break that Munns had accepted BYU's offer, Griffin Robles, the top Utah QB prospect this year out of Spanish Fork High, committed to Utah over an offer from Arizona.

"It's been something I've been thinking about for a long time, but I've decided to go ahead and commit to Utah," Robles told Rivals.com on Monday.

"I've really liked Utah the whole time, but I held off committing because I wanted to go through the process and because it was fun. But in the end, I couldn't see holding off anymore. Utah is the place I wanted to go."

Robles was named all-region, all-county and honorable mention all-state as a junior, throwing for 1,900 yards and 22 touchdowns while also rushing for 425 yards and eight scores.

The 6-4, 207 pounder threw well at the NIKE Camp in Los Angeles and will attend the June 24th Elite 11 Camp in Las Vegas with hopes of earning a spot in the final Elite 11 Campetition in July.

Below is the updated EA SPORTS Elite 11 Quarterback Tracker Top 100, which lists the nation's top 100 quarterbacks after tape and in-person evaluation.
