Florida cornerback likes USC
Aaron Henry, the No. 86 overall prospect in the Sunshine State, has over 15 offers to his credit.Immokalee (Fla.) three-star cornerback
"I have a lot of offers, but I'd say the three teams that are on me the hardest are Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Tennessee," the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Henry said. "Another team I'm interested in is South Carolina."
Nebraska has captured Henry's attention.
"Just the history of the program at Nebraska, and the fact that they have a great coaching staff. The spiritual side of things is something I'm looking at very hard, and I like what I've heard from Nebraska in that respect, too."
Wisconsin has made Henry, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, a proposal he finds appealing.
"They have told me I can play both ways at cornerback and wide receiver," he said. "I've always been a two-way player, so I really like the sound of that. I also like coach (Dan) Doeren quite a bit."
"Coach (Shawn) Witten has really been recruiting me hard. Tennessee is a great program. I haven't been up there, but the area sounds like it's really nice. They put a lot of players into the NFL, too."
Even though South Carolina has not officially offered Henry, he finds multiple aspects of their program to his liking.
"They're in the SEC, and it always seems like they're a tough, hard-nosed team. Coach (Robert) Gillespie is a good guy. I think they're going to be special under Steve Spurrier. I think they have a lot to look forward to."
Henry, who racked up four interceptions as a junior, will base his decision on several factors.
"First of all, God will be a very, very big part of my decision. I want to know what the team I'm going to be playing for is like spiritually. I also want to know I'll be able to excel academically. I'll look closely at the atmosphere around the school. And I want to play for a stable coaching staff. I don't want to sign with a school and then have the coach leave the next year."
Henry knows when he'd like to make his decision.
"It's going to be around the middle of my season. I'm going to really narrow it down and focus on a small number of colleges. Then I'll talk with my grandma, and we'll make the decision together. I don't have any favorites as of today."
