Get the inside scoop on your favorite team:

Another wild Saturday, another No. 2 team goes down.

Maybe nobody should want to be No. 2.

Texas, Notre Dame, Auburn and Florida all have lost while ranked No. 2 this season. Meanwhile, top-ranked Ohio State continues to sit pretty. The Buckeyes blasted Michigan State 38-7 on Saturday, running their winning streak to 14 and maintaining their stranglehold on half of the national championship game.

There was a multitude of upsets, led by a pair of SEC surprises. Auburn, last week's No. 2 before falling to Arkansas, knocked off this week's No. 2, Florida, in a mild surprise. The big surprise was Vanderbilt's win at Georgia. The Commodores had lost 49 consecutive games against ranked teams before bringing down the 16th-ranked Bulldogs.

So "They Said It" will focus on the SEC, and on the contenders for the unenviable No. 2 spot next week.

The Said It: Week 7
Auburn 27, Florida 17
"I've been here for 3 1/2 years and I've never seen Tubs (Tigers coach Tommy Tuberville) like that. But that's good. He's our head man. He's our guy. To see our head coach respond like that really lit a fire up under a lot of guys. He challenged our defense, our manhood. Anytime your head guy comes out and challenges your manhood like that, you can respond in two ways: You can lay down or you can go out there and fight and try to make a comeback. We came together, played hard, played together, and good things happened there in the second half."
Tigers safety Eric Brock regarding a spirited halftime speech from Tuberville

"He (Gators QB Chris Leak) played an all-right game, but he made a couple of mistakes that cost us. That's what comes with being a quarterback, sometimes you make mistakes and sometimes you make good plays. We don't fault him or put anything on him. He's still a great quarterback, we've just got to move forward. He's our leader and we expect a little more, but we don't blame him. We still love him as a quarterback. He's a great player and I know he's going to make up for it and make more plays in the future."
Gators wide receiver Bubba Caldwell

"Every (loss) is (difficult). I can tell you about every one. I can't remember many wins. I guess that's one of the problems as a coach. I can't tell you the wins, but I can tell you exactly what happened in every loss. That's not good. It's coaching."
Gators coach Urban Meyer

"There was a lot of hurt (in the locker room) because we put in a lot of work, a lot of blood and tears in the offseason. We just wanted to prove to everybody that we worked harder than everybody and wanted to come out with the victory. I just told them to keep their heads up, don't put the blame on anybody, we've just got to move forward and make plays."
Caldwell
Vanderbilt 24, Georgia 22
"The bottom line is they played better than us. They made the plays when they needed to. Vanderbilt is a good football team. They've been knocking at the door and finally knocked it in on us."
Bulldogs coach Mark Richt

"We have to work hard and stick together after this. We know we can do it the rest of the season. We have a lot of confidence in this team. The team learned that any team can beat you on any given week and that you have to come prepared for anything."
Bulldogs freshman quarterback Matthew Stafford

"Every week it seems like it comes down to someone making the plays and today we made those plays. We overcame some adversities and won the game. You have got to battle back from mistakes and we did that."
Commodores coach Bobby Johnson

"If we could have put some touchdowns on the board instead of trying for field goals, I'm confident we would have won. I don't blame anybody. We lost this one as a team."
Bulldogs running back Danny Ware
Michigan 17, Penn State 10
"I don't remember a season with the schedule like the one that we just went through, with Iowa still coming in here next week. We have been through the gauntlet. I really admire the way they have handled it, and I think you gain some insight as you go through a season. It really comes down to the
leadership and maturity you have."
Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr

"It (the Penn State home crowd) was really loud. Definitely louder than the crowd noise we prepared to
in practice. I was screaming at the top of my lungs just so everyone could hear."
Wolverines quarterback Chad Henne

"I put them (Michigan's defensive line) No. 1. They go hard every play. They have some big guys in
the middle. They were overall quicker. They were more physical than previous lines we went against."
Nittany Lions offensive tackle John Shaw
Indiana 31, Iowa 28
"It was certainly a disappointing loss for our football team, and basically we got what we deserved. The credit goes to Indiana, they played a very spirited game. They played very well, played hard, and made the plays they had to make to be successful, so we give them a lot of credit. Basically, we didn't play well enough to win the ballgame, flat and simple."
Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz

"This team has really come together, and if I could pinpoint anything it's the attitude that they have about themselves, No. 1, and about each other. That's been my challenge to them the past two weeks. You control your attitude and your attitude will make a difference in the game ... . It worked last week, so I tried it again this week and it worked again this week, so I'll probably use it again next week."
Hoosiers coach Terry Hoeppner

"I had a recruit's dad say to me. 'This football program is a rocket ship waiting to take off.' Maybe the booster on that rocket ship launcher kicked in, and we're going to take this program to the next level."
- Hoeppner

"The chemistry is coming together with me and Kellen (Lewis, the Hoosiers quarterback), just being poised and going out there and picking them apart."
Hoosiers wide receiver James Hardy
USC 28, Arizona State 21
"To be at 6-0, to be at the bye at the halfway point and just really starting to hit our stride jacks me up. Matt's (Leinart) not here, Reggie's (Bush) not here, it's just a different team. We're still not getting the turnovers that I want and that I stress, but once those happen, I know we'll catch fire."
Trojans coach Pete Carroll

"This is the hardest we have competed this year. We still made a lot of mistakes. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. But this is the hardest we competed."
Sun Devils coach Dirk Koetter
