Rudolph will showcase his skills in San Antonio
Kyle Rudolph demanded the attention off everyone. The 6-foot-6, 229-pound pass catcher showed up in San Antonio on Sunday and says he can't wait to get on the field.SAN ANTONIO - When you are the nation's No. 1 tight end, you demand attention on the field. Upon his arrival at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl,
"It's all exciting. I'm just going to come in and take everything in. I think it's just great for seniors in high school to be able to experience this and do all the things we do here," Rudolph said.
Unlike many of the players Rudolph's first real knowledge of the Army All-American game was last season as he watched a couple of local prospects take part in the game he is now playing in.
"Last year was the first year I saw it. There were a couple of guys from Cincinnati that were playing in the game so I watched it. I tried to go to the Junior day but I couldn't make it because I had to go to a basketball camp, but the game was something I really wanted to do," he said.
Rudolph, who was a big part of his Elder team's massive win over Charlotte Independence in a showcase game earlier this year, says this is another chance for him to show off for his home state.
"Kirk Herbstreit does our Ohio vs. the nation thing, and this is a big showcase for us as well."
