Syracuse football recruiting: A week in review
Exum picks up a new offer

Glen Allen (VA) Deep Run athlete Antone Exum had a solid season as he ran for 680 yards and 13 touchdowns while passing for 900 yards and 12 touchdowns. His play on the field has led to him receiving seven scholarships and he spoke with CuseConfidential about one of his most recent offers.

  • Syracuse makes its move on Exum
  • Marck visits two

Fairless Hills (Pa.) Pennsbury tight end Steve Marck continues to hold two offers. The 6-foot-2, 236-pounder recently took visits to a pair of Big East schools including one that has offered him.

  • Marck hits the road
  • The next Christian Brothers star?

Phoenix (NY) Christian Brothers offensive tackle Andrew Phillips plays at one of the top programs in New York State. CBA has produced a number of high quality division one prospects over the past few years and Phillips looks to be the next major prospect from the school. CuseConfidential recently spoke with CBA Head Coach Joe Casamento about his top prospect.

  • Phillips making big name for himself
  • In-stater waits for offers

Endicott (NY) Union-Endicott defensive tackle Jared Veruto was a co-captain of his football team with Syracuse bound defensive end Chandler Jones. Being a team captain was not his top accomplishment of last season as he was also named first team all state as a defensive tackle. But when will that translate to major college offers?

  • Endicott producing more talent
  • Intriguing prospect in Jersey

There are a number of interesting offensive line prospects in New Jersey that are still waiting on for their first offer. One of these is Zack Chibane of Paramus (NJ), who recently spoke to NJVarsity.com about the current status of his recruitment and his upcoming schedule.

  • Chibane plans busy summer
  • Interest picking up for all stater

Lincolndale (NY) Somers fullback Rob Lombardo was a second team all state performer last season on defense. Along with that post season accolade and some eye popping numbers Lombardo is receiving some interest from college programs. Which ones are hottest in pursuit?

  • Lombardo getting several looks
