Decision on Boling Could Affect O-Line
Clint Boling's arrest for allegedly driving under the influence results in a suspension from head coach Mark Richt, it will leave Georgia with some decisions to make regarding its offensive line.If
Fortunately, for the Bulldogs they appear to be better prepared to withstand the loss than they might otherwise have.
According to Appen Newspapers, Boling (19) was arrested on May 14. He denied drinking and refused to take any breathalyzer test.
Richt could not immediately be reached for comment.
Without Boling the Bulldogs appear to have several options to replace the player who was slated to open the season for Georgia at left guard.
Two scenarios would seem more likely at this early stage.
Boling was a member of the Freshman All-America Second Team according to Rivals.com.
The Alpharetta native made his first career start at right tackle for Georgia against Western Carolina, but started at right guard in the Bulldogs' final 10 games.
Boling, who missed the latter half of spring practice with mononucleosis, was slated to open the season at left guard.
