The Starting Five

Throughout football season, PowerMizzou.com put together our weekly list of the 11 Tigers who had the best week in a feature called Tuesday's Top Tigers. With basketball season now in full swing, we put a hoops twist on that feature. Each Tuesday from now through the end of the season, PowerMizzou.com will honor the top Tiger basketball players in a feature called The Starting Five. Our list this week included wins over Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.

The Starting Five
1 DeMarre Carroll, F Take out the final 90 seconds in Stillwater and Carroll is probably the league player of the week. He averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and made 19 of his 29 shots in the two games. N/A
2 J.T. Tiller, G Tiller averaged 11.5 points and had seven of his nine steals in the Texas Tech game. He is a shutdown defender, perhaps the best in the Big 12. N/A
3 Keith Ramsey, F Averaging 10.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, Ramsey was named the Big 12 newcomer of the week. N/A
4 Marcus Denmon, G One play nearly kept Denmon off the list. But since the Tigers won in Stillwater, his turnover and intentional foul wasn't a killer. And Denmon was huge down the stretch against Tech. N/A
5 Zaire Taylor, G Taylor was not spectacular, just steady. That is what he's been all season. He averaged 8.5 points, four rebounds, four assists, 1.5 steals and had just four total turnovers. N/A
