Friday Night Lights: Stars come out in zero-week

Here's a look at the stats and scores from the entire Texas Class of 2010, as well as other key names/targets/prospects from 2010-2012.

Texas 2010 commitments

QB - Connor Wood - Houston Second Baptist

Statline: Wood completed 21 of 43 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in a 57-17 loss to Sealy. Wood added 74 yards rushing on 10 carries.

QB - Case McCoy - Graham

Statline: The brother of the current Texas starter kicks off his season next week in a West Texas showdown with Clyde

RB - Traylon Shead - Cayuga

Statline: Shead had 166 yards and two touchdowns (22 and two) on 26 carries as No.1 Cayuga was upset 33-26 by Frankston.

WR - John Harris - Garland Naaman Forest

Statline: Harris did a little bit of everything for Naaman Forest in a 41-34 win over Whitehouse, as he completed seven of 10 passes for 69 yards and an interception, while also adding 89 yards and a touchdown (four yards) on 23 carries.

WR - Chris Jones - Daingerfield

Statline: Jones' official stats are still unconfirmed, but he had at least two receptions for 91 yards, including a 71-yard scoring reception in Daingerfield's 21-14 win over Atlanta.

WR - Darius Terrell - DeSoto

Statline: Terrell caught seven passes for 82 yards in a 44-41 loss to Cedar Hill.

OL - Dominic Espinosa - Cedar Park

Statline: Espinosa helped pave the way for 200 rushing yards for the Timberwolves, but it wasn't enough as Austin Westlake defeated Cedar Park 24-14.

OL - Trey Hopkins - North Shore

Statline: The Mustangs were not able to move the ball much on Katy in their opener, as the running game was held to 86 yards on 27 carries, while the passing game only totaled 121 yards in the 9-7 loss.

DT - Taylor Bible - Denton Guyer

Statline: The national top 100 selection helped the Guyer defense limited Newman Smith to 42 rushing on 20 carries in a 34-28 win.

DT - DeAires Cotton - Alief Taylor

Statline: Cotton led a Taylor defensive attack that limited Houston Bellaire to 58 rushing yards on 31 carries (1.6 yards per carry) in a 24-8 win.

DT - Ashton Dorsey - John Tyler

Statline: Dorsey was a key member of the TJT defense that helped stop the Texas High offense cold for most of the night, as the Lions rolled to a shocking 41-17 win.

DL - Greg Daniels - Houston St. Pius

Statline: We'll have to get Daniels' personal stats a little later, but the Panthers gave more than 400 yards of offense in a 41-37 loss to Houston Westbury.

DE - Reggie Wilson - Haltom

Statline: The five-star hopeful made a strong case for himself in the season opener with 11 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in Haltom's 14-13 loss to Irving Nimitz.

LB - Tevin Jackson - Garland

Statline: Jackson was unofficially credited with five tackles and assisted on a safety in Garland's 60-7 win over Dallas Kimball. Jackson was taken out of the game after the first series ion the third quarter,

LB - Aaron Benson - Cedar Hill

Statline: Benson was unofficially credited with 10 tackles in Cedar Hill's 44-41 win over DeSoto.

CB - Carrington Byndom - Lufkin

Statline: The Lufkin defense held Tyler Lee to 100 yards of total offense in a 27-13 season-opening win.

CB - Bryant Jackson - Sulphur Springs

Statline: Although his official stats are unconfirmed, Jackson did have a 53-yard touchdown reception in a 33-21 win over Paris.

CB - Adrian White - DeSoto

Statline: The official stats are uncomfirmed, but White did have an interception in Saturday's 44-41 loss.

Ath - Adrian Phillips - Garland

Statline: Phillips caught five passes for 51 yards on offense, along with one carry for five yards on the ground in Garland's 60-7 thrashing of Garland. He also was unofficially credited with four tackles and an interception (15 yards on the return) on defense, although he was lifted after the first series in the third quarter because of the blowout score.

WR - Ross Apo - Arlington Oakridge

Statline: Apo caught three passes for 59 yards, and also returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown in Oakridge's 53-22 win over Shelton.

WR - Nate Askew - San Antonio Madison

Statline: Askew caught three passes for 47 yards and returned a punt 53 yards for a touchdown in Madison's 40-0 win over San Antonio O'Connor.

DE - Jackson Jeffcoat - Plano West

Statline: The Lions enjoyed the week off and will make their 2009 debut on Thursday night against Sachse.

LB - Corey Nelson - Dallas Skyline

Ath - Quincy Aldridge - Whitehouse

Statline: The good news is that the Whitehouse secondary didn't give up a lot through the air on Friday night (seven of 10 for 67 yards), but the Naaman Forest rushing attack opened up the heart of the defense for 328 yards on 33 carries, as Naaman Forest beat Whitehouse 41-34.

QB - David Ash - Belton

Statline: The state's top quarterback for 2011 completed 21 of 30 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns (one interception), as Belton beat Waco High 35-24 on the road.
