20 Minutes and Out: A glimpse of LSU preseason practice No. 6

Knowing they have no scheduled work Thursday, LSU pushed through preseason practice No. 6 on Wednesday in another 90-degree Louisiana summer afternoon.

Here’s what the media saw in its usual 20-minute window:

1. A laundry list of Tigers again missed practice healing injuries. They were cornerback Kristian Fulton, tight end Stephen Sullivan, outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, wide receiver Derrick Dillon, defensive ends Rashard Lawrence and Neil Farrell Jr., safety Grant Delpit, cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., wide receiver Devonta Lee and running back John Emery Jr.

LSU coach Ed Oregron said at his Tuesday night press conference that none of the injuries are serious.

2. Tigers’ quarterbacks and wide receivers were working on audibles with QB Joe Burrow looking to the sideline and getting hand signals. With Burrow in charge, everything ran smoothly.

3. Former USC and Los Angeles Rams coach John Robinson’s job as senior consultant to Orgeron is to be his extra set of eyes. Robinson basically wanders all over the several practice fields observing.
