Ed Orgeron and the LSU coaching staff continue to roll in recruiting and now have 21 verbal commitments for the class of 2018.

Ponte Vedra, Florida (Nease HS) tight end Zach Sheffer announced via his Twitter page Sunday afternoon that he's committed to LSU.

"I have devoted a lot of prayer and time evaluating my options and feel confident in my decision. That said, I'm excited to announce my commitment to Louisiana State University," Sheffer said.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound tight end finished his junior season with 45 receptions for 607 yards and five touchdowns.

He committed to LSU over offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn and many others.
