Al Woods cleared by NCAA

BATON ROUGE – LSU defensive tackle Al Woods has been cleared by the NCAA and will report to campus on Friday, head coach Les Miles announced.
"We're excited about the news that we received today on Al," Miles said. "He'll report to campus immediately and we're happy that he'll finally be able to join the team out on the practice field."

Woods, a freshman from Elton, was rated among the top defensive tackles in the nation last year as a senior in high school. He earned prep All-America honors from Parade Magazine, USA Today, and Reebok in 2005 after recording 109 tackles and 12 tackles for a loss as a senior.
LSU is still waiting to hear word from the clearinghouse on three players – running backs Keiland Williams and Richard Murphy, along with offensive lineman Steve Singleton.
