"The final factors for me were the education, another place that I can call home and as much playing time as I can get," Amadi told TigerBait.com.
"Coach Chavis was recruiting me very hard and he is a very good guy. I have always watched him coach even when he was at Tennessee. He and i had a strong connection and he likes the way I play, especially the way i return kicks and everything."
Amadi (5-9, 175) will graduate from high school at mid-term and enroll at LSU in mid-January.
Les Miles was ecstatic to hear the news on Amadi's decision.
"He is very excited and he said he can't wait to coach me," Amadi said. "He said he was going to try and get me No.7 which is a great number at LSU."
With LSU in town for the Music City Bowl, Amadi is unsure if he will attend the game later today has his girlfriend is having her birthday party at Opryland.
Amadi says he is trying to convince defensive end Kyle Phillips of Nashville-Hillsboro to join him in Baton Rouge as well as his former teammate cornerback Justin Martin who is at NE Oklahoma A&M Junior College.
"I am going to do my best to recruit them but you know there is so much i can do," he said.
Amadi's pledge gives LSU sixteen commitments for the class of 2015.
