Five-star wide receiver Terrace Marshall, Jr. chooses LSU

The LSU football program received the commitment from one of the absolute biggest prospects on their recruiting board Friday afternoon as five-star wide receiver Terrace Marshall, Jr. announced he will sign with the Tigers.

Marshall announced his decision on ESPNU.

"There isn't anything like staying in-state and playing for your home-state school," Marshall said when asked why he chose LSU.

"My expectations are high. I work so hard that I feel like I will be successful in everything I do because of how much work I put in."

The highly-touted Marshall chose LSU over Texas A&M but he also had scholarship offers from coast-to-coast including Texas, Florida State, Alabama and many others.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Marshall is a midterm graduate and will participate in spring drills at LSU. He's been recruited to the Tiger program by tight ends coach Steve Ensminger.

Marshall who missed almost his entire senior season when he fractured the small fibula on the outside of his left foot. He is now almost entirely healed and ready to compete for significant playing time in a LSU uniform.

As a junior, Marshall totaled 55 receptions for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns.
