Former LSU diver Juan Celaya-Hernandez takes home the silver in Paris

Former LSU diver Juan Celaya-Hernandez won his first Olympic medal on Friday, finishing second to take home the silver medal for Mexico in the three-meter synchronized dive with a final score of 444.03 inside the Aquatics Centre. This is the 25-year-old's second Olympic Games. He just missed the podium at the 2020 Olympics in Toyko, placing 4th.

Celaya-Hernandez is a native of San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico. During his five seasons at LSU, he was named SEC Male Diver of the Week 18 times and in 2017, he was named SEC Freshman Diver of the Year. He left Baton Rouge with all three school records, two SEC records, seven Southeastern Conference titles and 12 All-America honors.
