Gamble commits to LSU

LSU football coach Les Miles took a step Saturday toward trying to ensure the success of his future kicking game by accepting a commitment from place-kicker Cameron Gamble of Flower Mound, Texas.
While Gamble, who took part in LSU's specialists camp on Saturday where he was offered a scholarship, was unavailable for comment the news was confirmed by both kicking guru Chris Sailer and Kohl's kicking camp on both Facebook and Twitter.

"Cameron is an outstanding kicker," Sailer of Gamble on his web site. "He has a big leg and hits a great ball off the ground. Kickoffs are also near the top of his class. He has outstanding potential and continues to improve each time we see him. He has become a top national college prospect."
LSU goes into the upcoming season with junior James Hairston as the team's lone scholarship player that handles both kickoffs, field goals and extra points.
Behind Hairston are two redshirt freshmen preferred walk-ons in Colby Delahoussaye of New Iberia and Trent Domingue of St. Paul's in Covington. The Tigers also added freshman preferred walk-on Alex Kjellsten of St. Louis of Lake Charles to their roster.
