It is officially spring football season for LSU as the Tigers held their first practice on a sunny Saturday morning at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility.

Myles Brennan took first-team reps in all individual drills during the 20 minute open media portion of practice followed by TJ Finley, Max Johnson, AJ Aycock and Walker Kinney. Redshirt freshman quarterback Peter Parrish was not spotted at practice at all. All quarterbacks wore the gold non-contact jerseys, and freshman cornerback Elias Ricks also wore the gold jersey. Ricks participated in drills, but had off-season shoulder surgery.

As you can see in the video below, Brennan had no problem with accuracy or arm strength. At one point he threw a ball in the middle of the field to Ja'Marr Chase, who uncharacteristically dropped it, but the two discussed it after Chase did some push ups, and redid the play. It was a perfect pass and catch the second time around. Terrace Marshall Jr. and Racey McMath also were with the ones.

New running backs coach Kevin Faulk was active and vocal with his group, which had Tyrion Davis-Price first followed by Chris Curry and John Emery Jr.

New defensive coordinator Bo Pelini was spending time with the linebackers during the media portion, which included Micah Baskerville, Damone Clark and Ray Thornton. Devonta Lee, who switched from receiver to linebacker, will now wear No. 6 instead of No. 5 because Kary Vincent wears No. 5 on the defensive side of the ball.
