Alex Bregman had three hits and drove home three runs to lead LSU to an 11-4 victory over Mississippi State in a Southeastern Conference game at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville on Friday night.

LSU third inning - Jared Foster and Jake Fraley singled. Mark Laird walked to load the bases. Foster scored when Bregman forced Laird at second base on a ground ball to the shortstop. After Bregman was thrown out trying to steal second by Cody Walker, Fraley scored on Conner Hale's single. LSU 2, MISSISSIPPI STATE 1
LSU fourth inning - With one out, Foster walked. Fraley forced Foster at second base on a ground ball to the second baseman. After Laird singled, Fraley scored on Bregman's double. Mississippi State fourth inning - Rea and Jacob Robson singled. Rea and Robson scored on Reid Humphreys' double. Humphreys moved to third on John Holland's ground out to the second baseman Foster. Second inning - With one out, Stevenson doubled. Chinea struck out and Sciambra lined out to the second baseman.
Eighth inning - With one out, Laird walked. After Bregman struck out, Laird stole second base. Hale struck out.
LSU HITTER OF THE GAME
Bregman extended his hitting streak to 12 games as he had his seventh three-hit game of the year. Bregman doubled home a run in the fourth and singled in a run in the ninth. His third RBI came on a force play in the third. Bregman's third hit was a first-inning double. Bregman's two doubles gave him 52 for his career. Bregman moved into a tie with Clay Harris and Mason Katz for ninth place on LSU's all-time doubles' list. Bregman, who went 3-for-5 on Friday, is 16-for-46 during his 12-game hitting streak.
LSU PITCHER OF THE GAME
Alex Lange had one bad inning as he picked up his team-leading eighth victory of the season. Lange gave up three runs and three hits in the fourth inning. In his other five innings, Lange allowed one run and three hits. Lange walked two and struck out two. Mississippi State only stranded one runner in scoring position in Lange's six innings.

Sciambra was back in the starting lineup as the designated hitter. He went 1-for-5 to extend his hitting streak to seven games. . .LSU collected 17 hits off five Mississippi State pitchers.
