"Southeastern played inspired and well for the first seven innings. They were tough outs for us on offense and defense. That pitcher (Cutura) competed so hard. He was making tremendous pitches against our hitters in clutch situations. Eventually, we got some big hits, especially the one by Moore off the lefthander (Pittari). Things unraveled for them in the eighth inning. We took advantage of their mistakes. We had some good base-running and Bregman put the ball in play to score a run. Then, McMullen hits the home run, so we don't have to use (Joe) Broussard in the ninth. It was a hard-fought victory. I don't care how they look at this time of year. All are tough at this time. Any time we score more runs than the other team, I am grateful."

"I didn't have any nerves today. I had fast ball command. I had command of my change and I had command of my curve. I was pitching pretty good. I made a few mistakes and they took advantage of them. You have to give them credit."
