The LSU football coaching staff received a fantastic belated Christmas gift Saturday evening as Rivals250 wide receiver Stephen Sullivan announced his verbal commitment to the Tigers of TCU and Mississippi State.

In a ceremony at his high school, Sullivan put on a LSU football cap to a cheering crowd of family, coaches and classmates. The 6-foot-6 prospect is a midterm graduate and will enroll at LSU next month and then be able to participate in the Tigers spring practices.
"I trust Coach Cameron and Coach Miles with what they are doing over there," Sullivan said. "LSU is close to home and my family won't have to travel far to see my play at the next level."
LSU now has 17 commitments in their class of 2016 with the addition of Sullivan. He joins other top wide receiver prospects Damonte Coxie of East St. John and Dee Anderson of Desoto, Texas.
