Tigers prepare for spring game

LSU conducted its final spring football practice Thursday afternoon with members of the student body as observers.

"(Spring) practice is done," said LSU coach Les Miles before he began autographing posters for students. "(Friday), we'll review the film of this practice and put together the teams.
"We'll have a game as best we can. We'll run the clock in the second half as we have done in the past. There will be plenty of snaps and plenty of big plays."

Miles indicated that what happens in the spring game won't have an effect on the depth chart. Again, Miles said that he can't wait for the freshmen to arrive this summer.Here to view this Link.
"One day is not going to really change a lot of things," Miles said. "We just want to make sure we stay healthy. The new class is going to provide real competition. We need those guys. We'll use them when they get here. It's important they adhere to things and they get it."
Interview LSU fullback Melvin JonesClick Saturday's game will just be LSU's 14th practice day of the spring. The Tigers will use the remaining day Tuesday to help organize the players' summer practice sessions.Here to view this Link.
"On Monday, we'll watch film of the game," Miles said. "The Tuesday practice will allow us to school the guys on the things to do during the summer. We'll show them what the linebackers, the offensive linemen, the defensive backs are going to do. We'll show them what summer practice will be like."
