Travis Tisdale is a top 2019 RB in Georgia

VALDOSTA, Ga. — Lowndes is always producing top football prospects. The school in south Georgia has a trio in 2018 with big-time offers, one is already committed to Florida and next in line is Travis Tisdale.

The 5-foot-10, 170 pound running back is in the 2019 class, so he still has two years of high school remaining. He rushed for over 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore and a couple of schools have already offered him.

LSU offered first, then it was Ole Miss. Both of those offers came before spring practice and he is receiving interest from Cincinnati, Clemson, North Carolina and some other programs.

Being in a military family, Tisdale has moved around a good bit. He has lived in New Mexico, North Dakota and South Carolina before moving to Georgia when he was in middle school.

His favorite school is the South Carolina Gamecocks. Tisdale was born in the Palmetto State and he would love to hear from Will Muschamp and company.

"My favorite player growing up was South Carolina," said Tisdale. "My dad is a big fan, we are from South Carolina and they are a school we watch a lot. I know they have had some top players and it is a school I would love to get an offer from. I have not heard anything from them yet, so hopefully I will soon."

Out of the two offers, Tisdale knows something about LSU and that is mainly because of No. 7 who played in Baton Rouge (La.) the last three years.

"I have really been watching Leonard Fournette a lot. He is a great running back, I am a big fan of his, so watching him had me watching LSU a lot the last few years. I like the way they play, I like how LSU runs the ball and they are always producing great players. It would be cool to take a visit out there."

The only school Tisdale has visited so far this year is Clemson. The Tigers invited him up for their spring game and the rising junior liked what he saw.

"I was up at Clemson for their spring game and it was nice. I liked the fans, how intense the team was and the coaches really know how to connect well. I just enjoyed it all. I loved the facilities too."

For now, Tisdale is wide open. He has a couple of offers, but he wants more. He wants to get out to some camps this summer, but no dates are set yet. He is a name to know in Georgia the next two years and Rivals expects his offer list to grow in the coming months.
