LSU shocked the recruiting world on Wednesday when Georgia athlete Arik Gilbert chose the Tigers over Alabama and Georgia, two schools the elite prospect's name has been associated with for some time.

Gilbert made his announcement in front of a packed house Marrietta High School gymnasium. Gilbert took to the stage with family and friends, with three hats on display.
