let me try to explain this to you. LSU got screwed this bowl season and the players and coaches knew it. We beat miss. st. and they played Nothwestern in Florida. we beat S.C. and they play Michigan and we beat Texas A&M and they play Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl . So, despite our victories ove these teams our reward is a thitr rate bowl against clemson. Do you understand the lack of motovation/effort on LSU's part?

Well, only Okla is ranked higher than Clemson.   11 and 14 respectively.

not  referring to poll position. I'm saying that the cotton, gator' and outback bowls are more important than the peach bowl and oklamoma and michigan, like LSU are more prestigious opponants than any acc team. Also remenber thatr this was LSU's third peach bowl in the last eight years. I am not saying that LSU would have won those games. I am saying thatn if a player can't get motovated to play Oklahom or Michigan he 's got a problem . Not getting up for Clemson is totally unacceptable but completly understandable

Did you watch the game?  Both teams played hard and the better team won.

Not at all.  They were playing the #14 team in the country.  That was as good of an opponent as they could have played in a Bowl game.  It was a better matchup than a lot of the Bowls.  That was a great matchup so I really don't see where motivation would be an issue.

I'm not blaming clemson for LSU's lack of effort/motovation.I'm saying that LSU"based on the overall body of work sghould have gone to the cotton bowl and Texas A&M to the peach bowl . LSU deserved a better bowl than the peach.

Maybe so, but I think Clemson is a better opponent than Oklahoma would have been.  So even though it may not have been a Bowl as high on the pecking order it was still a game against a quality opponent.

We went to the Orange Bowl against NIU and half of me wouldn't have minded being in the Peach playing LSU simply
because of the matchup although I'd never choose against a BCS Bowl.

I am speaking from an historical point of view. and i still feel that LSU should have gone to a better bowl or had amore noteworthy opponant. I think that the Tigers would vave been much more excited to play a tradition-rich program likevFlorida State and wouldv have given an approptiate effort. By the way what are the chances that Florida State applies for membership in the SEC?

I and many of our fans would love to be in the SEC but Florida won't allow it.  It is what it is.
