Jean-Francois signs with LSU
BATON ROUGE -- Ricky Jean-Francois officially became an LSU Tiger on Thursday as the defensive end from Miami, Fla., faxed his National-Letter-of-Intent papers to the school's football office, head coach Les Miles confirmed.
Jean-Francois becomes LSU's 13th high school signee for the 2005 season and the 18th overall. LSU's 2005 class also includes a pair of transfers in defensive lineman Chase Pittman (Texas) and defensive back Sammy Joseph (Colorado) as well as two greyshirts in Harry Coleman and Max Holmes.

Jean-Francois earned Riddell Footwear All-America honors as a senior at Carol City High School in Miami, as well as being named one of the nation's top-100 players by Rivals.com following the 2004 season after he racked up 93 tackles to go with 15 sacks and three interceptions.
Jean-Francois set the Florida high school record with 6.5 sacks in one game during his prep career. He's also the Florida state champion in both the shot put and discus.
