On Monday, three-star 2024 cornerback, Bernard Causey, shockingly decommitted from Ole Miss, and on Tuesday afternoon, Causey announced his commitment to his home-state school, LSU.

The commitment is big for Brian Kelly and the Tigers as just last week, four-star corner Ondre Evans flipped his commitment from LSU to Georgia.

Causey is a 6'0 corner who brings a lot of speed and decent height to the Tigers secondary. At 160 Ibs, Causey will have to bulk up, but his talent is undoubtedly there.

Causey was originally committed to play for Lane Kiffin in Oxford, but Brian Kelly and LSU were relentless in their pursuit of the cornerback. LSU officially offered Causey back in September, about three months after he verbally committed to Ole Miss.

The recruitment process for the three-star corner got hot recently. Prior to 2023, Causey held two power five offers from Texas Tech and Nebraska. Since then, Causey was offered by schools such as Missouri, Ole Miss, Colorado and LSU.

Causey joins three-star DBs, Wallace Foster and DaShawn Mcbride as well as fou-star DBs, Ju'Juan Johnson, Joel Rogers, Tylen Singleton, Cai Bates and PJ Woodland in LSU's 2024 recruiting class.

Kelly and LSU added another talented corner to their 2024 class, and things are looking up for the future of DBU.
